Job Overview And Responsibility

Katalon is looking for an experienced Technical Architect to make intuitive high-level decisions for software development. You will oversee the “big picture” and create architectural approaches for software design and implementation to guide the development team. A great Technical Architect can design and possess the ability to develop highly-scalable, flexible, and resilient software architectures that address our business problems. The goal is to provide a framework for the development of software or platform that will result in high-quality software solutions. Responsibilities - Provide high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility; - Be a true partner with cross-functional Scrum teams in designing, developing, and deploying technical strategies across platforms; - Collaborate with other professionals to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications; - Define all aspects of development from appropriate technology and workflow to coding standards; - Communicate successfully all concepts and guidelines to the development team; - Oversee progress of development team to ensure consistency with initial design; - Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers; - Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility, etc..; - Review existing systems to identify areas for improvement and monitor the outcome of new or upgraded systems on business operations.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or relevant field; - Proven design and architectural skills (software applications development and testing, standards, best practices, security, networking, OS, DBMS, cloud-based applications, etc.); - Solid experience in Java technologies and related best practices; - Expertise in code quality, coding standards, design patterns, and principles; - Demonstrate experience in large-scale & cross-platform products; - Good knowledge of cloud-based development (AWS is required); - Familiar with Agile methodology and its frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) - Understanding of software quality assurance principles; - Outstanding communication and presentation abilities; - A business mindset with great attention to detail; - Excellent English communication skills; - Experience in SaaS platform
