Responsibilities • Provide technical leadership to senior management and a growing software engineering team • Drive technical and architecture design discussions • Define engineering best practices for team and positively impact the team on design techniques and technology. • Conduct code reviews and ensuring merged code adheres to best practices and internal code quality standards • Actively collaborate with different stakeholder(s) and engineering teams on innovative solutions, requirements, scope, and project deliverables • Supervising developers, looking at areas of weakness and provide training sessions where needed • To stay current on modern web and mobile development frameworks & technologies, best- practices, trends, and trade-offsIdentify and champion innovations and improvements to help drive the growth of the business
• Malaysian citizenship is required • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field • A minimum of 5 years working experience in the field of mobile software engineering • Extensive experience managing tech team is a must-have • Be hands-on o Write clean, optimised, reusable and secure PHP code using Laravel o Design and implement RESTful API for the Web (SPA) and Mobile Apps o Convert UI designs into code o Implement features for the CMS using TALL stack o Write unit and feature tests o Define and maintain database • Familiar with our Tech Stack o PHP 8.1, Laravel 9 (Octane, Queue, Sail, Sanctum, Passport, etc.), Wordpress o Javascript, VueJs, NuxtJs, AlpineJs, TailwindCSS o Mysql, Redis o Nexmo, Twilio, Braintree, Cybersource, Firebase, Mailgun, Pusher o AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, SQS, etc.), Cloudflare, Letsencrypt, Nginx, Ubuntu o Jira, Bitbucket, Git, Postman o Flutter
