Get to know the Role This role will lead the change/release management of deployment of code from development to stage to production. This is a new function within our organization to build this practice and operating model from the ground up. - Implement and manage release processes for code/config packages through development, test, and production environments - Plan and communicate release windows and overall release lifecycle (including period end and application downtime) enabling informed decision making by all teams - Work closely with OUR leaders, technical teams and project managers to monitor and control all release activities (including review, measure and improve quality of release artefacts) through robust continuous delivery (CD) pipelines, tooling and processes - Champion quick resolution of problems found during release process of enterprise applications - Gate keep and document all entry and exit governance criteria on every deployment and ensure adequate due diligence are undertaken in every release - Maintain and streamline automated CD pipelines deployed on multiple environments - Monitor post release status and where needed, activate rollback production changes with OUR technology teams and change requesters to limit operational impacts - Publish regular release status to Stakeholders and where needed, manage and execute emergency release activities (incl. urgent upgrades or patches)
