Get to know the Role The Cloud System Engineer is expected to be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for OUR Cloud Infrastructure for both Public and Private Cloud. The role is required to manage, deploy, and maintain OUR Cloud Infrastructure. You are expected to: - Designing, Deploying, Supporting, Monitoring, Security Hardening, and Optimization of cloud and on-premise servers ( Linux and Windows on AWS). - Troubleshoots the performance of cloud-based systems and ensures proper security and backup procedures are followed. - Defines and configures required monitoring, logging, alerts, and audit controls necessary for cloud operations. - Collaborates and coordinates with Architects, Cyberdefense team, and Security team for the design, build, and production readiness of cloud solutions. - Oversees and actively participates in scheduling and implementation of enhancements, repairs, and upgrades of cloud infrastructure resources. - Responsible for implementing, cost-saving, sizing, and scaling infrastructure solutions on cloud platforms. - Contribute to the overall platform’s infrastructure and associated systems in terms of performance, availability, scalability, and security - Monitor systems and ensure services availability and timely troubleshooting of reported issues/service requests - Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability - Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution - Perform regular security auditing to identify any possible intrusions and identify risks - Establishes and maintains proper system documentation and infrastructure diagrams. - May need to work after office hours and weekends based on urgency.
The must have skills - Strong Linux or/and Windows System Administration. - 2+ years of experience in configuring, deploying, and running cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure). - Proficient in writing Linux shell scripts for maintenance and automation purposes - Hands-on experience working with configuration management and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible and Terraform. - Must have a working knowledge of IT security as it relates to cloud-based infrastructure - Must have an understanding of HA and DR concepts - Must have strong capacity planning and systems optimization skills - Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision - Good command of the English language and in both writing and oral. - Possesses good Systems Documentation practice. - Can do attitude.
